7/7/2023 – Update on Beach Nourishment for South Bethany:

Closure of Street Crossovers

As of July 7-9, the following beach crossovers in South Bethany have been closed due to dredging/beachfill activities:



• N. 6^th Street
• N. 5^th Street
• N. 4^th Street
• S. 3^rd Street
• S. 4^th Street
• S. 5^th Street
• S. 6^th Street

Please note: The dredge is currently pumping the last load of sand to the north and will begin pumping to the south of the subline around 4 p.m. By tomorrow morning (7/8/23), all equipment & shore pipe will be removed from N. 6^th Street to S. 2^nd Street and those crossovers will be fully open for the weekend.

As of Thursday, July 6, the following beach crossovers in South Bethany have been closed due to dredging/beachfill activities:

• N 4th Street
• N 3rd Street
• N 2nd Street
• N 1st Street
• Division Street

Updates for beach replenishment/nourishment are not readily available to our office. As stated in prior posts, schedules are subject to change based upon outside factors. Location of replenishment is up to the entity assisting in the nourishment’s completion and is out of our control.
